The Sacred Table Co.

The Invitation

There is a seat for you.

Of all the invitations you will find here, this is the one that matters most.

The Sacred Table was never simply about gathering people around our tables. It was always meant to point us toward His. Before we invite anyone to our table, God has already invited us to His.

And at God’s table, you don’t have to arrive polished. You don’t have to have your life together. You don’t have to know all the right words, or understand everything about faith, before you come.

You are invited because He loves you.

Why we need Him

If you have ever felt that something is missing, a gap you couldn’t quite name, a longing that good things never fully filled, you are not imagining it. Scripture tells the truth about all of us, gently and without shame:

For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.

Romans 3:23 (NIV)

Every one of us. Not the worst of us, but all of us. The distance we feel is real, and it is not free of cost:

For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Romans 6:23 (NIV)

Read that verse slowly. It names the ache, and then, in the very same breath, it names the gift. The rest of this page is simply that gift, unwrapped.

What Jesus has done

Here is the heart of it. God did not stand at a distance and wait for us to climb our way back to Him. He came to us.

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

John 3:16 (NIV)

Jesus lived the life we could not live, went to the cross in our place, and rose again, so that the distance could be closed for good. Not earned. Not repaid. Given.

This is why the table can be set so freely. The cost was already carried. Every seat here was bought by love.

How we respond

Grace is a gift, and a gift only becomes yours when you receive it. Coming to God is less a performance than a turning. You turn toward the One who has been turned toward you all along.

If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

Romans 10:9 (NIV)

And in case you are already counting up whether you have done enough to deserve a place, hear this clearly. You haven’t. Neither has anyone who has ever sat at His table:

For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast.

Ephesians 2:8–9 (NIV)

Faith isn’t a formula you get right. It’s a relationship you say yes to.

If you’re ready to say yes

There is nothing to memorize and no perfect words to find. Saying yes to Jesus is as simple, and as whole-hearted, as this:

Believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, who died for your sins and rose again.

Receive the grace and forgiveness He freely offers, not because you’ve earned it, but because He gives it.

Surrender your life to Him. This is not the losing of yourself it sounds like, but the coming home you’ve been longing for. You give Him your life, and He gives you Himself.

If your heart is saying yes, you can tell Him so right now, in your own words. Or, if it helps, you can borrow these. The words themselves don’t save you. Jesus does. This is simply a way to say what you already believe:

Jesus, I need You.
I believe You are the Son of God, that You died for my sins and rose again.
I receive Your forgiveness and Your grace.
I surrender my life to You.
Teach me to know You, trust You, and follow You.
Thank You for making a place for me at Your table.
Amen.

If you prayed that prayer today, welcome to the table.

Heaven knows your name. And you don’t have to walk from here alone.

I Said Yes Today

We would love to hear from you and pray alongside you as you begin. Tell us your first name, and we’ll walk with you from here.

Your first steps home

Beginning with Jesus isn’t about doing more. It’s about being with Him. A few gentle steps, whenever you’re ready:

Talk to Him. Prayer is just honest conversation. No special language required. He is already listening.

Read His Word. The Gospel of John is a beautiful place to start. You’re not studying for a test; you’re getting to know Someone.

Find your people. We would love to send you a resource and cheer you on, but we were never meant to replace the local church. Look for a Bible-believing church and a community of Christians near you. Faith was always meant to be lived shoulder to shoulder, around real tables, with real people. If you don’t know where to begin, tell us; we’ll help you look.

Not ready yet?

That’s okay. Stay awhile. Read. Ask questions. Pull up a chair.

You are welcome here while you wrestle with what you believe. No one is going to rush you, and no one is going to push you out. Maybe a friend sent you a devotional and you landed here almost by accident. However you came, there is room for you, questions and all.

The table was always His.
And He is still inviting people home.
